Method
- Step 1: Cook pasta in heavily salted water reserve 1 cup water before draining
- Step 2: While pasta cooks melt butter in large pan over medium low heat
- Step 3: Add garlic cook 2 to 3 minutes stirring frequently until fragrant and golden — don't let it burn
- Step 4: Add drained pasta to pan with garlic butter
- Step 5: Add splash of pasta water toss to combine
- Step 6: Add parmesan handful at a time tossing constantly adding more pasta water as needed until sauce is silky and coats every strand
- Step 7: Season generously with salt and pepper
- Step 8: Serve immediately with extra parmesan on top
