Garlic Parmesan Pasta

The simplest quick 5 ingredient dinner that exists and genuinely one of the best. Pasta, garlic, butter, parmesan, and pasta water transform into something that tastes like it came from an Italian kitchen. Ready in 15 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1.5 cups parmesan grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup pasta water reserved

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Cook pasta in heavily salted water reserve 1 cup water before draining
  2. Step 2: While pasta cooks melt butter in large pan over medium low heat
  3. Step 3: Add garlic cook 2 to 3 minutes stirring frequently until fragrant and golden — don't let it burn
  4. Step 4: Add drained pasta to pan with garlic butter
  5. Step 5: Add splash of pasta water toss to combine
  6. Step 6: Add parmesan handful at a time tossing constantly adding more pasta water as needed until sauce is silky and coats every strand
  7. Step 7: Season generously with salt and pepper
  8. Step 8: Serve immediately with extra parmesan on top
