Honey Garlic Chicken

The most requested 20 minute dinner in my house. Sweet sticky honey garlic glaze on golden pan seared chicken. Four ingredient sauce, one pan, twenty minutes. Serve over rice and dinner tastes like something from a proper restaurant.

Ingredients
  

  • 600 g chicken thighs boneless skinless
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Sesame seeds and green onions to serve
  • Cooked rice to serve

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Mix honey soy sauce garlic and vinegar together in small bowl
  2. Step 2: Season chicken generously with salt and pepper
  3. Step 3: Heat oil in large pan over medium high heat
  4. Step 4: Add chicken smooth side down cook 6 to 7 minutes without moving until deeply golden
  5. Step 5: Flip cook other side 5 minutes until cooked through
  6. Step 6: Pour honey garlic sauce over chicken
  7. Step 7: Cook 2 to 3 minutes turning chicken in sauce until sticky and glossy and caramelized
  8. Step 8: Serve immediately over rice topped with sesame seeds and green onions spooning all sauce over everything

Notes

— Watch sauce carefully once added
honey burns quickly on high heat
— Chicken thighs stay much juicier
than breast in this recipe
— Double sauce batch and use on
everything all week
— Add red pepper flakes to sauce
for gentle heat
