- Step 1: Cook macaroni in heavily salted water per package instructions
- Step 2: While pasta cooks warm butternut squash puree and milk together in saucepan over medium heat
- Step 3: Add butter garlic powder mustard powder stir until butter melts
- Step 4: Add cheese handful at a time stirring until completely melted between additions
- Step 5: Season well with salt and pepper taste and adjust
- Step 6: Drain pasta add directly to cheese sauce
- Step 7: Toss until every piece of pasta is coated
