Ingredients
  

  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 400g
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Half teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Parmesan and basil to serve
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Cook spaghetti in heavily salted boiling water
  2. Step 2: Heat olive oil over high heat in large heavy pan
  3. Step 3: Add onion cook 3 minutes stirring constantly
  4. Step 4: Add garlic and tomato paste cook 1 minute until paste darkens
  5. Step 5: Add beef break apart cook over high heat 5 minutes until browned
  6. Step 6: Add crushed tomatoes Worcestershire sauce Italian seasoning sugar salt and pepper
  7. Step 7: Simmer over medium high 8 minutes until sauce thickens
  8. Step 8: Serve over spaghetti topped with parmesan and fresh basil
